bonniebrook

The name of my kennel BONNIEBROOK is made up of two Scottish
words “bonnie” and “brook”. Since my name is “Schoenbach”, which translated means “bonnie” + “brook” and the Golden Retriever’s origin is in Scotland, I chose these words for the name of my kennel.

Scotland is my second home. Members of my family have lived
there for many years and I often accompanied my father on grouse shoots where I had the opportunity to see Retrievers working in the field. I was fascinated by their style and game finding ability.

1984 I bought my first black Labrador Retriever, but it wasn’t until about ten years later that I started working with my first Golden “Danny”. I have five Goldens from Scottish and English “working lines” today and they all work in the field as well as in working tests.

I have been breeding working Goldens since 2006 and since 2009 I am also a judge for hunting and workingtests for our kennel club, the DRC.

My aim is to breed “Working Goldens” in order to increase the
limited gene pool of these dogs, so that generations after me will
be able to enjoy the biddablity and great temperament of the
Working Golden Retriever.
